Mind your mind

Everyone has a mindset, but not every one has the same mindset.

While some people have mindsets that help them deal with challenges and accomplish their objectives, others have mindsets that slow them down and keep them from attaining their goals.

I’m sure you have heard of people who are identified by

‘Oh, He is always on top of things’. ‘I don’t know how she does it, she makes everything work’. ‘Well, he has a can-do attitude. What do you expect?’

…and you want to be around them. Or wouldn’t you? I mean… Except you’re a bad-belle.

No one wants to be around people who carry dark clouds over their heads, drag themselves out of bed everyday and are reluctant to do anything.

True… Your mindset is shaped by circumstances that you deal with everyday; but you need to master a process of controlling your mindset to maintain a positive approach to life, regardless.

People always blame their circumstances for what they are at the moment…

The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want and if they can’t find them, make them.

George Bernard Shaw

…but what happens to you doesn’t have to live within you. It could even serve as a stepping stones to your goals.

The power of Choice.

Whether you choose a positive or negative mindset is up to you and it seems fairly easy, but the issue is that we forget or do not even know that we have a choice.

You definitely make a lot of choices everyday and it’s up to you to choose the type of mindset you want because it determines your response to challenges.

You can choose either Bitter or Better. The Power of Choice is one of God’s greatest gifts to us and for the wise, it’s an empowerment to live a less troubled life.

The major difference between those who believe they can make it and those who don’t is the understanding of their mindsets.

In the midst of life’s challenges, you can choose to not only overcome, but also to burn bright.

Mind your mind.

Think of an hibiscus flower seed. You plant and nurture it, and by default, it should grow into a beautiful hibiscus plant coz that’s what it is, and not a sunflower or a rose.

It’s the same way what you nurture yourself with is what you grow to become, eventually.

You may have been told a lot of daunting things which have formed helplessness in your mind, but to rid yourself of helplessness is to banish negative thoughts and conversations and replace them with hopeful ones.

It’s reframing your perspective by changing and controlling your mind.

It’s what you say to yourself that determines what you are affected by, and not what people say to you.

The unfed mind devours itself. It’s garbage in, garbage stays.

Know what the loudest and most influential voice you hear is?

It’s that of your inner self, and it could either work for or against you, but that’s up to you as long as you learn to control the reception.

What you feed your mind is pretty powerful and the more you do, the more it deepens into your consciousness.

They work for even the infinitesimal situations in different areas of your life; talk of beauty, smarts, finances, work, productivity etc.

My dear … You create your own reality. It’s not you against the universe, it’s YOU AGAINST YOU.

Are you a controlled-by-mindset or a mindset-under-control person??

Your life will flow where your mindset goes. We become what we think and where we focus our attention. Love, accept, and trust yourself and life will unfold in the direction of your dreams.

Of course there will be disappointments, pain, and suffering along the way, so stay focused on who you are and what you want.

Focus on what matters most to you, grow and keep becoming the greatest version of who you presently are.

Your choices determine your happiness; don’t let anything steal your joy.

Mind your mind.

  1. This is really a good one. The mindset really is a powerful thing and so sad most people like myself still don’t know how to really control it. Thanks for this Topic tho, now I know that I have the power to make the choice of controlling it.
